This is a portrait in memory of my Pony Claudia Roza. In this painting I wanted to express the bond we had and how much I loved her. She was so loving, gave me reassurance and realy helpt me trough a diffecult time in my life. I hope you can sense some of this in my painting.

Colourful Green
2010I cycle through the 'Green Heart' of the Netherlands. Here I see a combination of nature and man. The large butterbur mixes with umbrellas of fishermen. A plane soars through the air and a equestrian passes. What I like to do, is to use the combination man and nature to play, both literally (flying cow and beetle car) and the shape. Water Lilies are just floating cups and saucers and a button is just like an egg ... With this painting I want to show the beauty of nature in all its forms on a funny way.
Horse dream
2009Experiment with a monotone underpainting (the colour still has to be added) and stylized lines. This fairytale like (or fantastic realism or megical realism) painting shows a upcomming meeting between 2 horses, high in the sky. The long neck and shape of the horse's forelock give the horse on the foreground an almost mythological aura like a unicorn.
Horse in gallop
2009Experiment with warm colours on a black background and stylized lines. (this painting is not yet finished) I sometimes ride on my pony, at night in the woods. It gave me a sense of freedom and unity with my pony and the nature surrounding us. I enjoyed to be away from the busy world, just for a moment, nothing else then together in gallop trough the night.
